I am Mark Harris.
I play the double (and occasionally the electric) bass, sing and write songs.
Right now I play and sing in a bunch of interesting bands including Lah-Lah

I write songs with my wife Tina for our band for little ones: Lah-Lah.
We have toured around Australia presenting shows for preschool kids and we have a bunch of music videos on Nickelodeon’s preschool channel Nick Jr. in Australia, New Zealand and South East Asia. We have now produced series 1 of our TV show ‘Lah-Lah’s Adventures’, which went to air in early 2014 on Channel 7TWO and will premiere on Cbeebies in Australia, BBC and the Knowledge Network in Canada, and lots of other Cbeebies channels around the world in September 2014.
Tina and I curate the music programming at Darling Quarter in Sydney’s Darling Harbour.
I taught bass guitar, double bass and jazz ensembles at Sydney Grammar School (College St) on and off from 1997 until 2012.
I also get to do fun things like play for big musicals like Wicked, Lion King, and The Boy From Oz, have small parts in cool plays like The Story of Mary MacLane as written by Herself, record for movie and video game soundtracks, and play for all other sorts of freelance gigs like weddings, parties, bar and bat mitzvahs, etc.
I have two wonderful daughters, Lily and Emily.
And a magnificent wife, Tina.
